This would also be remedied if more Switch players would play with a USB 3.0 Ethernet adapter, which makes a difference. Wasn't a problem at launch, because it would show your opponent's connection quality when Accepting or Declining a match, but that was removed on the Switch version for some reason. This isn't because of the Switch version itself, but because the Switch's internal wifi is only partially as good as the average mobile device, which reflects to the average online MK11 Switch player not having as good of connection as needed for fighting games. Online play is laggier than the Xbox version. No crossplay or crossplatform progression Some slowdown when you perform a Fataility, and when you open chests in Krypt. Gameplay is near flawless compared to XBox One version.
